Off the deck to remain undefeated!
George Stankovich, New Zealand, 2-0-0 (2) vs. Sam N’Gata, Tonga, 5-9-0 (2)
Stankovich comes out swinging and takes the 1st round, 13-6. He may be feeling a little bit of pressure to impress his new bosses at Billy Goat Promotions, who just took over his contract after buying out G.C.G. Promotions. Both fighters exchange punches as N’Gata finishes up the round with two ripping uppercuts on the inside. Another round of exchanges and N’Gata has his opponent hurt. Stankovich is cut with a severe gash outside the right eyebrow. N’Gata lands a big punch to the body and Stankovich is down at the end of the third. N’Gata wins that round 10-8, 29-3 points and cuts Stankovich. Oh, the fight could have changed within two minutes as N’Gata goes down here at the :34 second mark in the beginning of the 4th. N’Gata might really regret not finishing Stankovich off when he had the chance. And it is over…what a turn of events! Stankovich gets off the deck and ends the fight (KO4) to remain undefeated. George might have saved his career with Billy Goat, but he must do better if he plans on staying in their plans...especially with their signing and attention on the hot prospect, Union Cane.
