How did NY react to this? They started trading!!

They traded Pitcher Hoyt for left field E. Brown.
They traded RF Paschal for RP Collard and RP Brown.
They traded 2B Morehart for SP Barnes.
They traded SP Shocker for 2B Ward.

Looks like Cedric Durst is the new outfielder replacing Ruth. IRL, he hit .248 in 65 games.

At the break, NY was in last place. They battled back and finished in 3rd, 7 games back.

Their big mistake was maybe trading Hoyt. He went 19-9 3.39 in the NL.

Lou G. hit .343 with just 19 home runs.

Durst hit .260 in 87 games and Billy Zitmann hit .284 in 100 games in the OF.

Eddie Brown hit .304 with no home runs.

So, bottom line is, if you ever manage the 1927 NY Yankees, do not retire the Babe.

You should replay another season ,this time without Lou,and see how they react.
