Logo color change assistance

Apologies if this is newbie/asked before, or not allowed. If so, please delete.

I have some logos that I pulled from cephasjames' awesome collection on which I want to change the colors. I am not anywhere near an expert with image editing software. I had access to Photoshop but now use GIMP. I wasn't sure where else to ask for assistance.

For instance, around the J on Jackals, if you use the fill tool, it leaves the pixels that aren't the exact same shade as the original. Basically, I want to change the yellow to blue, getting rid of all the yellow. Is there any way to do this (filter, etc) that can change a shade of yellow to a shade of blue on the curve of letters that maintains the original look of the logo?

That is probably a terrible explanation. Hopefully someone can help.

Thank you so much in advance!

Here's the logo:

EDIT: Again, being a newbie, does this have to do with hue or saturation?
