No winning streak for the boys in blue. The Royals only surrendered runs in one inning but when Bob Miller gave up 5 runs in the fourth it was too much to overcome. Lou Piniella’s sixth inning homerun got KC within three runs but Oakland’s Chuck Dobson was just too tough.
