ST Game 23 @ Cleveland Indians L 6-3 LP-Dick Drago (1-1)
A four run first inning for the Indians was enough to propel Cleveland to a victory. The hitting star for the Royals was Paul Schaal, who went 2 for 3 and raised his average to .233.

ST Game 24 vs Detroit Tigers L 3-0 LP-Tommie Sisk (0-2)
A pitcher’s duel was decided in the eighth inning as the Tigers put up a 3 spot to get the victory. KC’s lone offensive bright spot was Ed Kirkpatrick who went 2 for 4.

INJURY NEWS
Philadelphia pitcher Barry Lersch will be out for 12 months after rupturing the tricep in his pitching arm.

1B George Scott
Red Sox get:
SS Jose Pagan

Good trade for the Pirates as they get younger with the addition of Scott. Not sure why the BoSox traded Scott for the 33 year old shortstop.
