ST Game 20 vs Washington Senators L 11-2 LP-Mike Hedlund (2-3)
The Senators scored five runs in the first inning and were never in any danger of losing ths early lead. Another five run outburst in the eighth by Washington merely salted this one away.

ST Game 21 @ Chicago White Sox L 13-11 LP-Dave Wickersham (1-2) HR-Lou Pinella (2)
A six run third inning for the Sox was nearly matched by a five run sixth for the Royals, but Chicago also put up three in the sixth and four in the eighth to cement the win. All around, it was a bad game for the KC pitching staff.
INJURY NEWS
Cincinnati will be placing pitcher Gary Nolan on the disabled list with a ruptured tricep. Early reports have him missing the entire season.
CONTRACT NEWS
Baltimore and outfielder Frank Robinson have agreed to a three year extension. Robinson has a lifetime .302 average with 418 homeruns and 1377 runs batted in.

Three runs in the third, one in the fourth, and two in the fifth propelled the Royals to their first win in five games. Centerfielder Ed Kirkpatrick was the KC hitting star getting a pair of hits as well as two rbi’s.
