Spontaneus Crashes...

Please bear with me, this is a rather large and bizarre problem.

I am recieving what appear to be completely random crashes while simming. If I sim multiple days or years at a time there is a chance that the game will come up with an OOTP error which will cause the game to crash. When I reload my league everything is fine except player stats. They are sometimes reset to 0 across the board and sometimes partially erased(as in the stats will only be displayed from a portion of the season, usually around 90 games). These stats are erased everywhere, leaderboards, the roster screen, career stats. The only place they remain are in the previous boxcores. There is no specified time between crashed one time I might sim seven seasons before seeing them, another I might have two in a week of game days. If I continure to sim after reloading new stats will be accumulated but the old ones never show back up, even after proceeding to the next season.

What I mean by random is that I cannot find a cause for them. They occur in career and replay leagues, with GFOrce rosters, with the default rosters, with fictional, and with historical rosters. They never occur on the same day, year or game number, even if I reload a save from earlier in the season and rerun it. They are not being caused by a lack of players on a roster or unset lineups, etc.

Therefore I tried out problems with my hardware. I reinstalled DirectX, video and sound drivers. I tried with the video and sound both disabled and enabled.

Stats;
Windows ME
Pentium III 866Mhz
40 Gig Hd w/ plenty of space left
Radeon video card
Soundblaster live.
392 MB ram

Anything else I try or can think of I will post.
