Oh I know he has good stuff... but you have to look at the whole picture. That WHIP comes from a .215 BABIP (batting average on balls in play) which means that he has been hit-lucky. It's not that they're "having trouble" hitting him. In fact, the lack of strikeouts would indicate that they're not having any trouble connecting on his pitches, if anything.
Again, I can't stress enough that it's just 14 innings so making any sort of conclusion from the data is not a good idea, but it's a good illustration of the principles of DIPS.
