Ok, this is a bad one.
I'm running a fictional league. One of my outfielders was showing his age, so I decided to bring up a hot prospect. I placed him in the depth charts at 33% of starts in all 3 OF positions. Once I reached the end of the season, I saw that he was only given a bare handful of AB's. I know it's not right, but went ahead anyway.
I then move to next season. I decided to release the aging OF'er and give my prospect the job. I simmed tillJuly 1st, and took a look at the stats. I see that, once again, my prospect is not getting AB's. But then I noticed that neither was the backup outfielder. Now I'm really confused. So, I check an old box score to see what's going on.
The game has been starting one of my middle-relievers in the outfield on an everyday basis! Furthermore, this reliever has not been used as a pitcher for the entire season. Zero innings pitched. And this reliever definitely does NOT have any other positional rating other than as a pitcher.
Obviously, this is a HUGE flaw. Can I please get a response from Steve, Markus, Scott, anyone on this? I did a quick search to see if anyone else has reported this, but I'm not seeing anything.
