Okay, here is the situation:
Fresno lets 2B Castro go in FA
I let SS McLaughlin go in FA
Both are type A free agents...
Fresno signs (re-signs) Castro, and then it also signs McLaughlin. However, I do not receive compensation for the McLaughlin pick.
Why? Because the computer misinterpreted it so that it basically gave priority on compensation to its own team (i.e. if Castro's contract had been extended as opposed to him going to FA, I would have wound up with the pick).
And it was the #3 pick in the draft!!!
