I wouldn't put Castillo on the same level of a Hearns or Hagler when it comes to facing a dangerous foe. I don't disrepect Floyd because he talks a lot but people loved Tyson because he knocked people out. Same in baseball with HR hitters, that's what people remember & why a guy like Floyd might not get all the credit he deserves. They love powerful guys who knock people out in big fights. Heck, Larry Holmes probably deserves more credit for his career too but doesn't get it because he came right after Ali's era.
But Ray was smart enough to be nice on camera & not swear or act thug like - hence the 7-Up commercials.
Even Floyd Sr. thought his son was swearing too much on 24/7.

He is very underrated because he is a boxer, not a slugger and because he is a punk .. but as I pointed out Leonard has drug and spousal abuse problems but everyone loved him because he was nice on camera.
FWIW I thought Holmes was very underrated in his day also, of course he is getting more respect the further into history we go.
