Unfortunately I didn't have the time I expected today to work on logo stuff, but I did manage to whip up a cap logo for the Colts. I based it on the caps shown on the Colts site so there is a bit of blue in there as an accent. The colors I used were 8D0B46 for the purple and 3047D3 for the blue highlights.

Now for the jersey what did you want to do? Do you want to modify the logo you posted in any way or were you just looking general ideas on what the uniform style should be?

Edit: I re-did the cap logo, this one should look a bit cleaner.
