When you update a player's photo in-game, it uses the uniform .png in the jersey folder of your save game. With the game running, you can take that uniform .png, open it with gimp (or whatever you're using) and add a new layer with the uniform number of the player you're updating. Save the file, then go back into the game and update that player's photo.
Rinse and repeat. Like I said, tedious. I am actually using this concept as a workaround for home/away jerseys. I have three jerseys for each team (home/away/alt) and it adds variety on the news pages, championship trophy page, etc., as you have some players in home whites, some in greys, some in solids, etc. Add in random angle and zoom, and your face pics are extremely varied and visually appealing.
Hope that helps.

Some good ideas. I have Photoshop so it wouldn't be too big a deal. I suppose on the uniforms, couldn't you just have two different templates for each team, and set the FaceGen to update only on demand. Then you could alternate between them using load instead of find.
