I've often thought about guys like him. Is it better to have had the thrill of beating Cleveland the other night, or is it better to never been that close to your dream of a major league career and have it slip away? That guy will probably never have another moment in his life as exhilarating as being on the mound just that one time in Yankee Stadium. Is that good or bad?

I would say good. As the saying goes " Tis' better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all"
There are millions of people that would give anything to pitch one night at Yankee stadium, me being one of them
