that's it. you have a Compaq Presario 7478.
it has 64 MB of memory, but 8 of that is going to the shared video memory.
you've got 2 memory slots, and you could but 256 in each one.
I'd recommend
buying a 256 MB chip - would be about $50 and would be a huge boost to your system.
memory is pretty easy to install - you'll have to open up your case, but crucial does send along some pretty good instructions to help you.
