I can't get any production at 3rd base, so I'm cruising the free agents and find a gem. Turns out he was signed to a 7 year, upper tier contract earlier this year to an expansion team. Was never released, never waived, isn't on the transaction log anywhere other than the signing... but he's sitting in the free agent pool.

What's up with that?

Note: I have not tried to duplicate this, yet.

Playing in a 32 team ML... have a full set of minors.
