Here's my idea. Wildcard can't be at home in the playoffs, but they also don't have to play the winner of their own division in the first round.

I just looked it up and in the NBA the team with the best record gets home court regardless of seeding.

The points scored will not always stay the same, as the schedule will change each season as far as inter-divisional matches are concerned. I can already see that my Assassins will struggle to make the playoffs next season as we'll be up against Icetea, Hebron and the Mexivilles.

The thing is KC with the that the division winners might not have proven themselves the best in their groups. Just look at the wildcards right now, the Muckboys will the third highest point total in the league, have beaten all three division leaders, and if I win in week 9 will have swept the division and in all likelyhood even if I do win the next three matches I still won't win the division. Dave is probably going to win the division not because he has a better team, which he doesn't as our match showed our teams pretty much equal, but because he can blow out bad teams better then we can.
Chris is in the same boat as me. He hasn't lose since week 1 and has a ten point win over the current 1st seed. He could still be stuck in the wildcard even if he beats Icetea in week 10 depending on how things go over the next two weeks. I just think it isn't fair to penalize teams who get the wildcard simply because their stuck in the same division as some monster scoring squad even though they've outperformed the other playoff teams. Of course, Chris and myself could easily lose to Icetea, Tile Hill, or TC in the coming weeks sending all my arguments up in flames.
Damn, KC you didn't do yourself any favors on next year schedule. Good luck next year.
