Glad you found this game. I played in a computer strat league for 22 years and have owned every other text sim on the market. OOTP 2007 sets a whole new standard.
You will be rewarded as you tackle the learning curve for this game. The ability to customize the game however you want is just as deep and complex as the real game.
Hope you enjoy. Report back later on how it's going for you.
And, by the way, nobody should feel dumb about this game. It is very intimidating and has so many choices. Many people on this forum will do whatever we can to help you. We want you to love the game as much as we do, but it does take some commitment. The manual is just as deep and great as the game, the best of ANY game I've ever purchased. We have battists to thank for that and all of the time that he has volunteered and devoted for all of us.
