The thing is, a lot of work was actually put into making sure that the names generated were pretty believeable and nothing too crazily uncommon (like a guy named Timothy Williams, but he's from Thailand).
Still, I know that 100% proofreading wasn't possible. There will definitely be names that slip through the cracks, but that's part of the fun.
As an aside, what kind of weird names are you getting?

I ran an Amish league, as Mike described. Unfortunately the games really dragged on when all players stopped to erect a barn during the seventh inning stretch.
