Having a draft and being able to view actual stats instead of just scouting and looking at potential and ratings (Gee, kinda reminds me of real life) is much more fun. I ran a couple of fictional leagues with the preview version and the first thing I did was add feeder leagues. The drafts were a lot more realistic and you had to do your homework.
Like I say, to each his/her own as not everyone cares for that scenario, but for me it adds another whole dimmension to the managing aspect of the game.

Well, crap. Immersion is SO important. But it'd be my nature to spend the entire year with one league, be ready for the championship series just as v2008 rolled out. Hmmm.. doesn't sound all bad.
Now that BruceM has commented, I'm recalling my youth when one of my tennis opponents maintained he had one philosophy when facing me: hit it right at me. His rationale was that I would spend an inordinate amount of time considering, "Backhand or forehand, backhand or forehand", thereby reducing the likelihood of a resourceful response.
Good dialogue. I'll keep listening. Thanks for the additional take, BruceM.
