Only advantage that I can think of is that the "feeder" league enables you to actually follow the development of the players instead of just getting the draft list 30 days before the draft. All about immersion factor from what I can gather.
I've tossed this around as well. WAs thinking of setting up a Cape Code type league or two so that I could follow the best as they develop, but I'm not sure if the engine fills up the rest of the draft the regular way or if I have to have enough teams in the feeder league to fill the draft pool.
