Next year SI should implement a revised pre-order policy for OOTP 2007.
Depending when pre-order has been completed, everyone would be entiitled to a specific time slot for early download of game. Since there are eight weeks of pre-order time (Feb.1,2007 - March 23,2007), the pre-orders for the game could be as follows: Feb.1-3 = 1:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m.
Feb.4-10 = 4:01 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Feb.11-17 = 7:01 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Feb.18-24 = 10:01 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.
Feb.25-Mar.3 = 1:01 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Mar.4-10 = 4:01 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Mar.11-17 = 7:01 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Mar.18-23 = 10:01 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
This might eliminate the download crunch and reward the people who pre-ordered early.
