Panic is an interesting one. About 2 sims ago, I auto-managed my minors and the moved Panic up from AA to AAA. I figured that it was a little too early to do that, so I left him down there just to get a little more experience. I'll probably move him up towards the middle of the year. Depending on how he develops, he
could be in the rotation next year. But two or (definitely) three years seems more realistic. Also of note, Panic is now the #2 overall prospect behind Illinois' 3B, Jose Chavero (who was taken two picks after Paydirt James).
Neither of the two pitchers are
stunning this year in AA, but they are both pretty solid and I am VERY excited for the time when our rotation looks something like this:
LHP - Mesick
LHP - James
LHP - Long
LHP - Renez
LHP - Herold
What's interesting is that ALL of my young pitchers are left handed. Could give some teams some problems, potentially. All three of Mesick, James, and Renez are 19 years old. Renez has a lot of development left to go, but James and Mesick could be closer than I think.
