You’re barking up totally the wrong tree there. There is no issue at all regarding his Chelsea status. They purchased his registration fair and square last summer. Given that deal was brokered under FIFA arbitration there is no question about his eligibility this season whatsoever.
The whole dodgy contract issue relates to prior arrangements, and in fact the original allegations of forgery related to the agreement with Lynn, not Chelsea. Certainly that was the line out of the odious ****tu’s mouth back when the whole dispute kicked off. He claimed Lynn had forged part of the original professional contract and they didn’t have the right to sell him to United. Specifically fingers were pointed at Morgan Anderson.
EDIT: I forgot how annoying overzealous swear filters are whenever discussing this story. Some folk started calling him John Shi2 in the end, but personally I find that even more irritating than the imposed asterisk.
