Right click and save the bmp below to your desktop as "bc1.bmp" ->
Go into you skin folder "OOTP5\Graphics\Wood Maple.skn" and rename the old "bc1.bmp" file to "bc1.old" ->
Place this new "bc1.bmp" into that folder.
it's light enough to see the trade screen text, but still dark enough for the player pages text.
Another vote for the maple skin btw.
