The 1st month of the 1999 season has passed and Nomar is having an incredible year.

Hitting (avg-hr-rbi) .425-11-25

Of his 45 hits he has 4 2B, 2 3B, 12 BB, and only 4 K.

So far he's had an 8 and a 15 game hitting streak, getting hits in 23 of his 1st 26 games. Doing all this earned him a batter of the month award and 2 player of the game awards.

Other notes:
Boston is just 13-13 in last place in the AL east 6 games behind TB (!!) who hold 1st.

Also, after starting the season 3-1 with a 1.93 era Pedro was injured and sent out for 5-6 weeks (4 weeks remaining).
