According to reports this morning Steve McClaren has asked some senior England players if he should recall David Beckham to the squad, now I'm not the biggest Beckham fan infact I think he's just an above average player and never been anything else but I watched him last night in the Madrid v Betis game and he's not even above average.
He was slow and I mean very slow, he didn't look like he wanted to be involved in the game unless they were attacking and even his crossing was poor.
I have to say though he didn't deserve the red card but if he hadn't spat his dummy out and tried to break the other players legs then he would never have got sent off, most of his poor play could be down to lack of match fitness but if it isn't I could actually see him struggle in the MLS.
