Back in my "cruising for leagues" days, I looked at the FBBL... and wrote it off pretty quickly, mainly on the basis of the "is this a great league, or is it just crackpott's ego trip" issue. There's just too many references to kicking people out for this or that, owners being "stupid," etc., etc.

Having been around here for a while, I have since seen that the FBBL is a league that is beloved by its owners and clearly something special. The creative promotions are/were great, that's what gets people checking out the league in the first place. Personally, I'm not in the market for a super involved real players league, but if I were the FBBL would hands down be the first league I'd go for.

If the "crackpott uber alles" rhetoric on the website had been toned down a little bit, I'm sure I would have seen that to begin with.

Note that this is just my opinion... the bottom line is that you've got a fantastic league going, and if you're happy with it I'm certainly not trying to tell you otherwise. But if you're having a perisistently difficult time finding people for your league, you really should't be, and maybe this is part of the reason why.
