Get the demo and see for yourself is all I have to say. I didn't like 2006. The things I didn't like about 2006 have been adressed and fixed in 07. Markus, Marc, Andreas and company, really listen to what people have to say, (good, bad, and ugly), and try to make it a game that everyone will enjoy. The fun is back in this version. But please don't listen to me, don't listen to people who are already dismissing the game. Play it for yourself and make a decision.
