The length of time between 1s is now just long enough to keep me from making those mistakes near as often, while not destroying the pace of the game. This one thing has gone the longest way to bringing the game back for me.

I understand you now. It wasn't so much the interface, but some of the features that weren't up to 6.51 standards. I can agree with you on that. I just suffered through it.
