My thoughts exactly. To me, Kinchen wasn't going to help us out too much. In the short term, yes. But by the time this team is built to win (say 3-5 years), he'll be passed his prime. Plus he can't field, and I like me some good fielding middle infielders (not that Koenig can field either).

I also really like pitching. It killed me to trade Lamela (just won pitcher of the month over in the FFL and has a 1.26 ERA), Suarez (9-7, 2.97), and Perl (5-6, 4.06), but I just didn't think that I could build up a championship team with all of my big bats fading and nothing coming up through the minors. I'm liking what I've got building down there now with James, Herald, and Perez. Long is going to take some time, but he'll straighten out eventually.
