Team Record: 24-44
Sim Record: 2-7

Games
6/11 - 7-3 loss @ Utah - Jermaine Crosswell lost his 8th straight decision and brought his overall record down to 1-10 while Jerkins scored 2 runs on 2 hits.
6/12 - 7-6 loss @ Utah - We scored 3 runs in the 8th inning to tie it but then Jose Langlois gave up a solo homerun in the bottom of the inning that we couldn't come back from. Jerkins came through again with 2 hits, 2 RBI, and a run scored.
6/13 - 3-2 loss @ Utah - O'Parra pitched decently (5.2 IP, 3 ER), but it wasn't enough to stop the Scorpions. Solo homeruns by Koenig and Oakley were all we got for runs scored.
6/14 - 3-2 WIN vs Washington (10 innings) - We finally win a 1-run game this sim. Paul Long pitched beautifully (7 IP, 0 ER, 1 R, 6 H, 5 K, 2 BB) to win player of the game. The real story is Chris Baker pinch running for Steve McLaughlin in the bottom of the 10th after McLaughlin singled. With two outs, Baker (14 stolen bases in 5 previous years), our backup catcher, then proceeds to steal second base and scored the game winning run on Francisco Diaz's single.
6/15 - 4-3 loss vs Washington - The Griff's hit us back with a 1-run game as Steelman allows all their runs on 9 hits in 7 innings. Koenig had 3 hits.
6/16 - 9-6 loss vs Washington - Jake Kinchen (8) and Oscar Oakley (7) each hit homeruns and Oakley acquired two more hits, but it wasn't enough as Crosswell and Langlois each allowed 4 runs.
6/17 - Off Day
6/18 - 8-3 WIN @ Idaho (12 innings) - We are 6-2 in extra inning affairs this year. That's got to count for something, right? Right? Steve McLaughlin hit a 3-run homerun in the bottom of the top of the 12th to cap off a 5 run inning that Idaho just wasn't going to come back from. McKie allowed 3 runs in 6 innings, but our bullpen allowed 0 runs in their 6 innings.
6/19 - 5-1 loss @ Idaho - Oscar Oakley hit his 8th homerun of the year in the top of the ninth for our only run and one of only 3 hits all day. Paul Long allowed 5 runs in 5.1 innings.
6/20 - 5-0 loss @ Idaho - Our offense sputters again as we get only 4 singles and 2 walks (Walsh was the only one with 1 of each). Steelman allows 4 runs (only 2 earned) in 6 innings of work.

It's clearly Washington's race to lose this year. They have the best record in the entire NPBL by 5 games over Wisconsin.

Two 10-game losers and we aren't even half way through the season yet. I think I'm going to have to move Crosswell out of the 4th spot. He sucks.

Just as a note: I have two 1B, neither of whome are in my starting lineup, because Oberlin is a shortstop that I stuck at first as he was hot and I didn't really have a spot for him at SS. I may have to put McLaughlin back at first next sim, and I may have to give Carmona a shot somewhere (maybe at 3rd). We really don't have much of a bench, huh?
