Trade News
So Washington (most recently the 2018 Champion) and Florida (the 2020 and reigning NPBL Champion) pulled off a big deal. Florida is selling off parts. Their division is pretty competitive and the GM (who took over the team midseason last year) wants to rebuild.
The big pieces of the trade both went to Washington. Florida got some prospects and a couple draft picks. But these two are what is going to keep Washington on top of our division for quite a while:
Bill Worm - C - 29 year old 4.5 star catcher. The big deal with this guy is his ability to get on base. Currently, his on base percentage is .475. He was a 1st round (1st overall) draft pick in 2014.
Joel Huertas - 2B - 29 year old 4.5 star second baseman. He's not exactly hitting as well as he was the past couple years as he's taken a bit of a talent hit. But this was the Bluefish's 1st round (1st overall) draft pick in 2012.
We'll see if Florida regains any of the value that they gave up.
As for my opinion of Florida's rebuild? They absolutely are trying to rebuild too early. And with a few of the teams in their division being very young (and very good), it's going to be a looong road back for Florida.

Thanks NP! This post actually got my butt in gear to try to see what I can get for Oakley. I'll let you all know if anything develops.

Yeah, I've heard that. I'm just addicted to speed (not that we have that anymore). Perhaps I might just tone it down a little bit.
