This is the story of the Colorado Rams, a once proud franchise now forced to build from within to reclaim the glory of the past.
The
NPBL has no finances, so the only way to improve is through the draft, trades, and timely talent bumps. I was lucky enough to take over the Colorado Rams before the 2011 season, just after they lost the National Cup Series (the NPBL World Series) 4 games to three against a very good Maryland Admirals club. After 5 years, which included one National Cup loss and 4 other League Championship losses, we won the big one in 2016. After two years of unsuccessfully defending our title, we decided to rebuild.
Currently in the middle of the rebuild, this is the story of my team, the Colorado Rams, and their path towards a brighter future.

We were having our draft the other night, and someone brought up Chappy's “
Rebuilding a Champion.” I was totally surprised to see that some people who frequent the dynasty forum haven’t heard of it. He started a
second thread in ’04, but the Great Crash of ’05 eventually killed off his passion for that one. He never could get the passion back for the
third attempt. Chappy
still has yet to capture that elusive National Cup for his beloved Freedom.
So I’ve decided to bring my own brand of “Rebuilding a Champion” back. We hope to do what Chappy couldn’t, and capture the title once again.
