Now, if you've made it this far, and you're still interested or curious, go by the league website and check it out.
Go into the forums. Read some of the threads. See how much discord there is in it. See if sims are being run on time. See if everyone (or most everyone) thinks they are being treated fairly. See if the commish makes a reasonable schedule, with reasonable rules. See if he's a dictator or if he takes the advice of the league.
Don't go by one voice, whether that voice be mine or bat boy's or WWBL Commish's or by Leahcim, go by what you see there. And weigh all of the evidence.
