Who's "Big Matt?" You are absolutely right about the single loss thing. Many seem to be of the mindset that if their fighter isn't undefeated that he won't get a title shot, and is tainted somehow. There has only been one world heavyweight champion in history to retire undefeated, and of the current crop, only one falls into that category. Many modern handlers need to realize that a loss, (or several), can indeed by a learning experience, and better prepare their fighter for future success, IF he doesn't get discouraged, learns from his mistakes, and corrects them in subsequent bouts.
