Thanks for bringing this back up, ctorg. Always a great read. This should be an OOTP tradition. Every year on Opening Day (or when the latest version of OOTP is released; whichever comes first) this story should be posted.

In my mind, Rasco either retires in anonymity and becomes an assistant baseball coach for some high school in a small town. Of course, the players on the team don't know who he is. They just think he's the assistant coach that tosses batting practice sometimes.
