Former Kansas City Wizards forward Josh Wolff has left Major League Soccer for Germany, as the 29-year-old officially joined 2. Bundesliga side (second division) 1860 Munich on Wednesday on a contract that runs through the 2007-08 European season.

"Obviously, we've been checking out 1860 for a while now, through my agent, myself," Wolff said in a press conference Wednesday in Germany. "Once we knew there was some interest and I was coming over and training, you start to follow the results, the team, the guys. I came over and got to train and meet everyone and see the facility and obviously [general manager] Stefan Reuter and the trainer.

"It's a good experience all in all. That, I think, was the one real proving point to try and work out a deal and certainly once that was agreed upon, I would sign on. I'm very excited about the opportunity and it's a great club with a lot of tradition and history and I'm hoping for great things while I'm here. I'm really excited."

I wonder if he'll do better in Germany than Landon?

Not good news for Kansas City though - no stadium to play in with Arrowhead being closed, the new SSS they had planned to start building being voted against by local voters, and now losing one of their better players on a team that finished in the Eastern Conference cellar in 2006.
