Estrada is really turning out to be a disappointment. I can't adequately describe how unimpressive he was when I saw him in September.
He was in against a stiff that had a jab like a parochial schoolgirl. The guy's defense consisted of flailing his arms upward when he was thrown at. The opponent basically could not punch and had no ability to pick off punches or get out of the way. Estrada never hurt him and although he won a shutout unanimous decision, the reality was that the stiff should have won two, maybe even three rounds. It was a performance not fitting a top 250 fighter much less a supposedly legitimate prospect.
I don't know what happened to Estrada but he is a lethargic fighter and will in my opinion be an opponent or out of the game in short order.
Edit:
Another note on just how poor an opponent Estrada had in September:
This guy was named as an opponent the day before the fight. CES had a message on their website that they needed a heavyweight to go eight rounds that week.
Also, in talking with the referee before the card started, he said that he had worked a fight in Philly a month or so earlier with this guy and he did not want to fight. The ref had to threaten and push him to complete the fight.
In light of all that, Estrada's performance was just horrible and now he has lost to a guy that he apparently beat as an amateur.
