Pearce Henry remains unbeaten
August 9, 1911
Pearce Henry (9/6) (16-0) scored a KO15 (*note mistakenly scheduled for 15 rounds instead of 12) over Jim Scanlon (UR/24) (14-1) for his first defense of the CBU HW regional title.
Henry dominated this fight from the opening bell winning the first two rounds and dropping Scanlon in the 3rd. Scanlon mounted a comeback in the 4th and 5th even causing some swelling in Henry's right eye. Henry dropped Scanlon again in the 6th and battered Scanlon the rest of the fight before dropping him for good in the 15th.
Henry now has 40 knockdowns in 16 fights and 14 KO's.
I had it 136-128 at the stoppage.
