The poster gave a poor estimation of Ramirez's stats.
Ramirez has been a .900+ OPS guy for three seasons with a better than 100 OPS+ for 5 of the past 6 seasons. He's 28 years old now. Defense notwithstanding, if you project Ramirez's carerr on an average aging trajectory, you can make a better than average case for him to be in the Hall. Say 2500 hits, 430-480 HR, and 1700 RBI.
