See the boo boys are out in Newcastle, Roeder was always going to be a knee jerk reaction as 99% of the time when a caretaker manager comes in the results improve and then when he takes over and the honeymoon period ends the results go south.
Anybody in their right mind knows that Roeder's track record as a manager is poor to say the least.
Gillingham - 13 wins in 51 games, finished 2nd from bottom only escaping the drop to the conference on the last day of the season.
Watford - Took over in 93/94, nearly got them into the play offs the following season but was sacked in 96 with the team in the relegation zone and were eventually relegated.
West Ham - Took over in 2001, in the 2002/03 season you guessed it they got relegated, close to the end of the season he had a brain tumour and regained his job when he was healthy but West Ham struggled in the Championship and he was sacked.
So before the Newcastle job he had 3 jobs and got two of the teams relegated and just by the skin of his teeth avoided the treble, yet some bright sparks in Toontown thought it was wise to give him the Newcastle job.
This is why Newcastle will never get anywhere, they are ran by a Chairman who has no idea what he is doing and appoints managers on a whim.
