I don't know if you have seen it, but there is a docu-drama called Supervolcano that was made by the BBC and Discovery Channel (iirc). Whilst it's slightly overdone to accomodate an audience, it still gives the background to what would happen if Yellowstone was to erupt. Scary stuff.

Probably longer with many other side effects. Like we wouldnt be able to feed ourselves. And the cold weather is perfect for spreading the plague. I hope I dont live to see this. I probably wouldnt survive it.
