[FBBL] Baltimore Orioles Open

Openings in the FBBL, while not rare like diamonds or gold, don't come up very often. We've retained most of our GM's from the start and don't have a very high turn over rate. Currently, we have one opening for the New York Mets franchise. Here's the skinny on the team and the league:

- We are currently wrapping up our third season. The off-season will begin in 4-7 days.
- We are an OOTP 6.5 league (you must own the game)
- We have a highly active message board (average about 40 posts a day)
- We sim 3 days a week, 7 games per sim - Sunday, Wednesday and Friday sim schedule.
- While this version of the league [FBBL v. 2.0] has been open and simming since April of this year, FBBL is one of the older leagues on the net. We originally opened in February of 2001. Right now we're currently on our restart and we're over two and a half seasons in.
- So, we're a stable and active league seeking a stable and active GM.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
TEAM: Baltimore Orioles - http://fbbl20.ho8.com/main/team17.html
2007 RECORD: 68-94, .420%
05-06 RECORD: 143-181, .441%
PLAYOFFS: Never

KEY MAJOR LEAGUERS: Ramon Hernandez, Brian Roberts, Garrett Atkins, Matt Holiday, Anthony Reyes, Cla Meredith.
FARM SYSTEM: 4th best, led by Robert Andino. Also have a full slate of draft picks coming up which will be 5-7 range.
FINANCIALS: The Orioles have a 39 million dollar payroll and a 54 million dollar income. They have 25 million in cash on hand. So they are sound financially.

STORY: The Orioles have been a one-owner team since the league opened. He recently moved on because he's started to game with OOTP: BM and there are no immediate plans to move FBBL to OOTP:BM. The Orioles are loaded with potential with the right GM because they do have a very deep minor league system and most of their current major leagues are former blue chip prospects that were rookies this year and are still maturing. They have plenty of money on hand with $41 million to spend on free agents so the opportunity to add big free agents is there. This upcoming free agency class should include Ben Sheets, Lance Berkman, Carlos Beltran, Brad Lidge, Jason Giambi, Ivan Rodriguez, Jorge Posada and plenty of other big names. So there's the possibility to add some nice veteran bats. So, this team has potential. Now, the obstacles are many and they come in the form of perhaps the best division in the entire league. Spearheaded by "those damned Yankees" the AL East has three of the best teams in the league in it. The Yankees have made it to three straight World Series, the Boston Redsox won 98 games this year and the Toronto Bluejays won 91 ballgames. So, it's not going to be an easy road -- but you do have all of the tools needed to turn the Orioles into a winner. We're looking for a dedicated owner to do just that.
