Dude, just look around and do some research! There are probably a hundered leagues you can join. Take a look at their website! Are the forums active, are there interesting articles to read, do the GM's have decent tenure in the league. If they don't have a website, forget it, not worth your time. Then, and most importantly, download the league file. Take a look at the team(s) that you may become owner of. See what you're getting into first. Then look at the other teams, make sure the farm systems don't have a multitude of four & five star players in them. This is so ridiculous and unrealistic. Most commissioners will tweak the ratings which is fine, but some make it way too unrealistic. Then send the commish an email and sell yourself. Most really good leagues are fairly picky about who they let in. Can be frustrating at times, but I have found is well worth the effort! Then have fun!
