They'd all be running round in the same kit, most teams home kits have white on it, either shorts, socks or trim so it would mean every team would be wearing a white away kit and seeing that most teams have white in their home kit they would all have to bring in a third kit as they would clash against most home teams, example being Newcastle play in black and white stripes thus any team would not be able to wear a white top.

Plus colours are important to a team and it's fans always have been always will, to be honest it's just like gangs in America. You wouldn't believe the rumblings that go on when teams decide to change jerseys, this season Wigan fans aren't happy with the fact we have gone back to a pretty much solid blue jersey instead of the traditional blue and white stripes that were worn last season.
It's fine for a team to wear a different color jersey on away games. I know Manchester United has wore their home uniforms on the road. But for the games that they do have conflicting unis...... My issue is why, a team like United choose all blue as their away units when there isn't a touch of it on their shield. They could use their white jerseys on the road and black as their third jerseys. (though United's away uniforms are white and black, their third jerseys are the dreded blue on blue).
