I also had problem with the 1.0.3 patch on my laptop. Best thing is to download the newest complete version (Demo) and re-install.

Copie the file ootp2006_eSellerate_key from OOTP Baseball 2006/data/config.

move folders saved_games, quickstart_games, World templates and Database if you did any change to another location ex. Desktop.

Erase OOTP Baseball 2006 folder

Re-Install.

After installation.

Move the file ootp2006_eSellerate_key into OOTP Baseball 2006/data/config. Then move the folders saved_games, quickstart_games, World templates back into folder OOTP Baseball 2006/data/.

Start the game.
