New Boxing Product!
Returning to my "roots", I am opening a new website next week to launch a number of new boxing products.
The first product available will be a pdf publication, entitled "Boxing Bios: The Heavyweights", a look at nearly 100 current heavyweights in capsule form. Each entry in the publication will allow the reader to quickly grasp the essentials of the fighter being profiled.
A photo will accompany each short biography, and the fighters profiled will range from the "best" in the division today through the journeymen to the cannon fodder. A special emphasis will be placed on the current rash of European fighters making their way into the heavyweight rankings: Bidenko, Chagaev, Vilchis, etc.
The goal is to allow boxing fans who do not have in-depth knowledge of or who have never seen an image of a particular fighter to be able to associate a face and facts with a name. While this information will hopefully be helpful to anyone with an interest in the sport, it is specifically aimed at Title Bout gamers, who have a real desire to know what fighter they're matching and with whom.
The publications will be updated constantly so that anytime a purchase is made, it will contain the most recent information available. However, "official" releases will come out once a year, similar to a boxing annual.
The cost of the publication will be $7.00 and sample entries will be available on the site.
If the first publication does well, other divisions will follow. The new website will also carry boxing artilces that can actually be used within the framework of the game.
For example, one of the first articles will be based upon a hypothetical, involving Salvador Sanchez. What if Sanchez, already recognized as one of the best in boxing, hadn't died so tragically at such a young age? How would his boxing career progressed? How many different titles might he have won? How would the course of the featherweights changed?
The article, thoroughly researched, will delve in to the "what if's", providing you plenty of material over which to argue and plot a "career path" for Sanchez that you can "fight" using Title Bout Championship Boxing.
