For example; Kevin McCourt is Mike McTigue, Stephane Francois is George Carpentier, Flash Sullivan is Tommy Loughran and George Boykin as Battling Skki. Three of the four fictional boxers are from the book Poor Nigger by Orin Vergain. Flash Sullivan is from a short story by Robert E. Howard. The authors appeared to have these boxers in mind when creating their characters. In creating my fictional boxers, I tried to give a description from the book to help you visualize the individual. A fictional character that reminds me of Willie Pep might make you think of Sonny Liston.
Hope that helps,

What I:m doing in the film and fiction thread is finding pics of the actors that played fictional fighters in films and using those. In some cases I'm finding multiple pics of an actor in boxing poses. DeNiro, in Raging Bull is an example. I'll be adding more to the thread from stuff I've downloaded in due coarse.
