Again, bit of a novice here, so unsure what you mean by 'scenario'...
In general, it appears to be exactly what has been guessed at, where the 'protection' for the worst teams draft picks that normally applies to FA compensation is now (post-patch) also being applied to previously traded away draft picks. *note* I personally aquire the draft picks mid-season, I've never traded for a pick at the winter meetings - too expensive at that point - so unsure if those picks would be lost also.
Can reproduce every time by trading for the worst 4+ teams first round picks at the trade deadline (suggest making the deadline near end of season for this test) and then seeing them regain the picks from you (for free) on draft day.
